East Lincoln embraces the wisdom of spurring each other into lives of love and doing good to others by “not neglecting to gather as some do” (Heb10:24-25). We also see how small groups amplify this effort and want us to enjoy what the early church enjoyed as seen in Acts2:42-47:
42And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43And awed came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Every person attending East Lincoln should embrace small groups and enjoy the study of Scripture, prayer support, personal application, caring for one another, and accountability.
We have several groups meeting throughout the week at various times and locations. Most of these groups are a traditional weekly effort to study the bible with men’s, women’s, youth, and couples groups. We also have a great variety of small groups like book clubs, short-term marriage studies, discipleship training, video studies (The Chosen) and
